I made one using that same pattern. But i adapted it alot. I doubled the size, I made the red parts two-ply and insideout so there'd be now rough edges sticking out. I made the tail out of fabric. I left out the cardboard. I made the whole head more complicated, with ridged ears and yellow toy eyes..

    Here's a pic.

Thanks Garble! I wanna try! Too bad that Angelfire pic won't work, I'd love to see a good pic of one. I bet I could do that pretty easily. It would be cool to make it out of fleecy material like those pillow pal things that are so popular now.

Hmmm...a project for after X-mas, methinks...

Hm, sometimes it works and sometimes not...

That's a good idea for material. The pattern calls for felt but i thought that was too flimsy and rough, so i used T-Shirt material (from actual T-Shirts) instead. And the hair is black fake fur from the craft section of wal-mart. For a long time i tried to find blue fake fur like the pattern says, but it was a lost cause...

well blue fur may be a lost cause but how about blue polar fleece? it is kinda fuzzy maybe that might work a bit better than t-shirt material. Jus' a thought

Okay, I'm inspired now. I saved Garble's pic, while it was working, as a reference. I've got the pattern. I'm gonna modify it. I've got a good pic of Kitty's Bamf from Excalibur and I'm pricing fleece. I can't find any yellow eyes though. All the stores have are cat eyes. Uck. But I am inspired.

Soon I'll have a fuzzy friend.

And it's a nice one too! I'm impressed...
